Surface world (Earth or Gaia)
Underworld (also called Hades) divided in:
Tartarus (place): Deepest and darkest place. Used to torment and torture the wicked souls, as well as to imprison the Titans and other monsters.
Asphodel Meadows: Realm of utter neutrality and boredom, where most souls are sent.
Elysian Fields: Land of sunlight and bliss. Where those who lived righteously are privileged to go.
It has 5 rivers in it, but their distinctions aren't very clear:
- Acheron: Acts as a border between the land of the living and Hades. At its Underworld side lays the gates which are patrolled by Cerberus.
The disincarnated souls were brought to the Acheron's bank by Hermes and were transported through it to the Underworld by the ferryman Charon on his boat.
This transportation only happened upon payment of 1 obolo (a coin). Those who didn't receive proper burials and thus didn't have the coin placed on their corpse's eyes or mouth couldn't pass. These poor souls were left to wander aimlessly along the bank of the Acheron, and were believe to eventually give rise to ghosts in the mortal realm.
- Styx: River of Oath: It was either impossible to swear falsely by this river's water, or doing so would incur in something bad for the liar, such as: the being wouldn't be able to speak for 7 years.
This was often used by the gods to settle things.
Achilles was made almost immortal by being dipped in this river by his Nymph mother.
- Lethe (Forgetfulness): Those who drink its water forget everything. The dead sent to the Asphodel Meadows had to drink from it in preparation for a possible reincarnation.
- Phlegethon (Fire): Its waters burned in flames. Pours into the Tartarus (giving it a "Hell" aspect).
- Cocytus (Wailing): Apparently its waters made the sound of people crying.
Chaos (Nothingness that preceded existence) created → Tartarus (Underworld) Gaia (Earth) Eros (Love and attraction) Erebus (Darkness) Nyx (Night)
Erebus and Nyx were a couple and created other Primordial Deities together.
Gaia created 4 other Primordial Deities, among them was Uranus (Sky), with whom she mated.
From this relation 12 Titans, 3 Cyclopes, and 3 Hecatoncheires were born.
Uranus was a tyrant and confined them all inside Gaia's womb, what caused her to plot against him.
In one of the occasions that Uranus came down to have sex with Gaia, Cronus (Time, Destiny), the youngest Titan, castrated him.
When his genitals hit the ocean a foam was formed, and from it appeared:
- The Olympian Goddess Aphrodite (Beauty, Sex)
- The Nymphs, spirits/minor gods of nature.
They are typically tied to a specific place, but can also be seen following Gods, such as Artemis, Pan and Dionysus.
They are often divided into subgroups, such as the Meliae/Dryads (forest nymphs), the Naiads (freshwater nymphs), the Nereids (sea nymphs), the Oreads (mountain nymphs), etc.
- The Erinyes/Furies, 3 goddesses of vengeance, who punished those who committed crimes, or cities which failed to punish someone's crime (such as homicide, offenses against the Gods, perjury...).
Their wrath could manifested in the form of harassing the culprit to madness, or causing illness, shortage of food and water, etc.
They later went on to work for Hades & Persephone torturing souls.
- From the blood of Uranus' genitals Gaia got pregnant of 100 Gigantes, giant warriors, sometimes depicted as having tails of serpents substituting their legs.
After the Titonomachy, Gaia urged the Gigantes to wage a vengeance war for the defeated Titans on the Olympian Gods.
This battle, referred to as Gigantomachy, was won by the Olympian Gods. All Gigantes were killed.
Some authors don't make the distinction between Titans and Gigantes, so according to some the Gigantomachy never happened.

After Cronus' success he assumed control of Earth with his siblings.
Era of Titans
Cronus was a great ruler at first, and everything was going well, especially because of Gaia's happiness, that generated prosperity for all.
This period is called The Golden Age of Men. Humans, Gods and all other being lived peacefully together.
Rhea (Fertility), one of the Titans, and Cronus also mated, giving birth to 6 Olympian Gods.
- Zeus (King of the Gods. Thunder, Sky [weather], Order) ruled the Gods Was very infidel to Hera, cheating that always resulted on the Queen trying to punish the other women and the offspring.
- Poseidon (King of the seas) Hot tempered. Creator of horses and small Cyclopes.
- Hera (Zeus' Wife. Marriage)
- Hestia (Home, Virginity)
- Demeter (Agriculture)
- Hades (King of the Underworld)
Kidnapped Persephone (Also Agriculture. Zeus' and Demeter's daughter. She had a lot of power and involvement in the underworld business.) and made her his wife. To assure she couldn't escape he tricked her into eating a seed that bounded her to the Underworld.
Her mother was desolate, and stopped fulfilling her duties, which caused starvation and chaos.
Zeus had to intervene, arranging a compromise: Persephone would spend 2/3 of the year with Demeter (spring and summer months, when everything was fertile) and 1/3 of the year with Hades in the Underworld (winter months, dark and cold).
At some point a prophecy was foretold, predicting that Cronus would be overthrown by one of his children.
Scared of this fate he locked the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires in the Tartarus, afraid they would side against him, and started eating his offspring.
Rhea didn't like what he was doing to her children. So she deceived him and managed to hide Zeus, her sixth and last child.
He was raised by Nymphs, and, when grown, he set free the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires, and poisoned Cronus with a laxative, causing the Titan to vomit the other 5 Olympian Gods.
Titonomachy
The Olympian Gods, alongside the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires, fought a decade long war against Cronus and most of the other Titans.
During this time the Cyclopes forged Zeus' Thunderbolt, Poseidon's Trident, and Hades' Bident and Invisibility Helmet.
After the victory of the new pantheon the Titans that went against the Olympian Gods were locked up once and for all in the Tartarus.
